Our rig is a palm-sized, fully ducted quad running custom firmware, 4 K nano-camera and on-board gyro stabilisation. The carbon frame, ESCs and even the antenna geometry were designed in-house so we could skim beneath conveyor belts, thread between robotic arms and keep prop-wash away from the paint & sealant zones.
During the hero take “The Press” Tesla kindly dialled the Giga Press cycle speed down so we could fly the drone through the open mould without risking damage to either the equipment or our craft. Five minutes later the press was back at full pace—production hardly skipped a beat.
